You could really miss a taste treat if you pass up the American persimmon developed in N.H. by Professor Meader. These extremely hardy, productive trees yield tastes labeled “unsurpassed, superb.” Use the Meader Persimmon in salads, appetizers, as desserts or toppings, in cakes, breads, cookies, pies, and jam. Excellent dried. In Asia they leave persimmons to freeze on the trees, then eat them like sweet, healthful popsicles! Approx. mature height 25 feet, can be kept at 12 - 15' Lustrous, dark green leaves turn crimson in the fall, a spectacular sight with orange fruits on the tree. Plant 15' apart. 1 1/2 to 2' trees. Shipped spring only. Zones 4-8
