The Arden Althea blooms beautiful flowers from June to September! Double, rose-purple flowers with a maroon blotch.

When few other shrubs are in bloom, Althea is valued for its 2 to 4" large, beautiful flowers from mid to late summer. Arden Althea, Rose of Sharon's peak bloom in August. Dense, green foliage in summer, yellow in fall. Upright, vase shaped shrub usually reaches 8 to 12' high and 6 to 8' wide at maturity. Abundance of flowers when grown in full sun, however, can tolerate some shade. Althea is a hardy plant, practically carefree shrub and tolerates a wide range of soil. Planted for borders, hedges or by itself, it is a landscaping must! Plant 6' to 8' apart. Shipped spring only. Zones 5-8
