Foliage is so abundant and luxurious, trees look almost tropical! Surely, one of the most attractive of all nut trees. It is extremely hardy, it thrives in soils from heavy to light - matures faster than an other nut tree.

It produces nuts in clusters, sometimes as many as 10 per cluster. Justly known as the sweetest of all walnuts, there's no trace of bitterness. High-protein nut meats come out easily as wholes or halves.

Northern Hardy Pecan
NT115 - 1 to 1 1/2'

For years you have asked for a pecan – and now we have found a source of a winter hardy pecan that will tolerate minus 30.

The nuts on this hardy Northern Pecan mature in 120-140 days… just the requirements. for the northeast. Although a little smaller than the southern cousins, they are sweeter and have more oil.

Carpathians Produce Large Crops That Are Easy To Harvest One of our customers reports than an eight-year-old tree produced a bushel of nuts. Trees start to bear from four to seven years after planting. An average crop for a 15-year old tree is about 3 to 4 bushels of shelled nuts. At maturity the hull opens and the nuts fall to the ground.
Plant Miller’s Genuine Pure Strain Tree Growing Carpathian Walnuts is a specialty with us. We spent 17 years in research in order to produce the finest trees possible. Our original planting stock came from the Carpathian Mountain Highlands in Poland. Beautiful dark green tropical foliage. No roots near the surface. Grass grows right up to the trunk. Grows in beautiful symmetrical form with strong sturdy limbs that won’t break from wind or ice. Fast growing, cool, dense shade. Free from most diseases.

This is a cross between the tree hazel and the European filbert, with the best qualities of both.

It has the large nut size, productiveness, and early bearing traits of the filbert on a shapely tree with the disease-resistance, vigor and hardiness of the hazel. Resists aphids and bud mites without spraying. Nut quality is excellent.

Plant 15 ft. apart. Shipped spring only. Zones 4-8

Plant 2 Fingerlakes or 1 Fingerlakes with a different filbert variety for cross pollination.
