Years of experience have shown that the Spy is a “Must” apple for Northern growers. Blooms late, avoiding late frosts that often injure other varieties. Does well on hills, slopes. Large, fancy quality fruit. Bright red, overspread with delicate bloom. Exceptionally juicy, yet crisp and tender. Excellent for in hand eating or pies and sauces. Can be cellar-stored into March. If temperatures can be regulated, may keep into May. Store as soon as possible after picking. A beautiful, beautiful apple! Ripens from late October with the season extending into December. Zones 4-8
