We’re proud to have introduced this variety of the famous Bosc. Called “the fruit of fruits,” they exceed Bartlett in resisting both heat and cold. They laugh at 25° below zero and do well in heavy (clay) soils, even with no feeding. They bloom late and avoid frost kill. A large gourd shaped pear, russet-bronze in color. They yield very large fruits of highest quality. Attractive cinnamon russeted skin, aromatic flavor. Shipped spring only. Zones 4-8 POLLINATION FOR PEARS: Pears require two varieties for cross pollination. Seckel pears require two different varieties for cross polination. Note: Bartlett and Seckel will not cross pollinate.
