Plant Miller’s Canandaigua Quality™ Reliance
The 25°-Below Zero Peach!

Bears full crops of delicious peaches after temperatures fall to 25° below zero.

One of the greatest tree finds of all time.

Great credit must be given to the accomplishments of the plant breeders at the University of New Hampshire. It seems incredible that they could have developed a peach tree that would survive and produce delicious fruit after 25° below zero.

Survives 25° Below zero by actual test — From the University of New Hampshire’s own records. Winter of 1961-62. Test tree subjected to the following below zero temperatures: Jan. 22 -21.5°, Jan. 23 -14°, Jan 25 -25° degrees. A total crop loss of peaches was anticipated. Yet this young three-year-old tree produced about a bushel of
delicious fruit. Other hardy varieties growing nearby were a complete failure. Now peaches can be grown where it never was possible to grow them before.

Reliance is tops in quality — Fruits are medium to large, round, bright red attractive cheeks splashed over a yellow skin. Bright yellow irm flesh is honey sweet, fine-flavored and comes free from the pit. The stone will not cling, even in coldest, driest seasons. The pit is smaller than any other peach. Fruit ripens with Golden Jubilee or about mid-August. After visiting the Experimental Farm in Durham, N.H., I can truthfully say that this is one of the most impressive fruits I have ever seen. The quality is outstanding, the tree vigorous and fast growing. Zones 4-8
